Contrada Sorba is one of the 99 districts of the city of Monopoli, a fishing town at the Adriatic Sea with a history going back to the Greek settlements in South Italy. 

It is situated on the border of Monopoli and Fasano which is as well the border between the provinces of Bari and Brindisi. At 370 m above the sea, Contrada Sorba is at the rim of a plateau, getting always a soft sea breeze even during very hot summer days and with good weather, you can see the Adriatic Sea from the rooftop of Villa Filou.
